Third Test between India and England to Start on July 27; All Eyes on Young Indian Cricketers

India testNew Delhi, Thursday, July 24 – After ending the first Investec Test in a draw at the Trent Bridge and winning second Test match at Lord’s, Indian cricket team is looking forward to pocket a victory in the third Test match, which will begin on Sunday, July 27.

The young and enthusiastic brigade would definitely be the cynosure of all eyes. The hero of Lord’s Ishant Sharma, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Ravindra Jadeja, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane and Murali Vijay are likely to stay rock solid in front of English men, however, it is not going to be a simple task for them. England too have quite a lot of talented cricketers, who have the potency to put humongous score on the board and defend the same or even small targets.

England captain Alastair Cook must be striving to put forward his best since it has been a long time when a marveling knock came out from the bat of the 29-year-old left-handed batsman. But this shouldn’t be anticipated that he would carry on his poor show in the future as well. He is the man who has struck 25 Test hundreds and 35 half-centuries in 102 matches. He can shine anytime. His top score of 294 runs was hit against India at Edgbaston, England, in 2011 and that is enough to let people know about his ability to stand on the crease for several hours and score huge runs. Cook’s record against India can be a tad disturbing for Mahendra Singh Dhoni and his squad as the opener has struck a maximum of 5 centuries in opposition to India only.

England squad in the third Test is likely to be seen having Moeen Ali, Sam Robson, Gary Ballance, Ian Bell, Joe Root, Ben Stokes, Joseph Charles Buttler, Stuart Broad, Liam Plunkett, Chris Jordan , Chris Woakes, James Anderson and of course, Cook. Jos Buttler is probable to grab eyeballs. The 23-year-old wicketkeeper-batsman will be watched for his skills to stop the ball behind the wicket and hit distant sixes and boundaries.

On the contrary, potential of Indian bowlers, who imparted huge role to make their team stay ahead of the opponents at the Mecca of Cricket, can’t be considered less. If recent performances are to be taken in mind then England may be trouble if a bunch of young bowlers start bowling once again in good line and length. Toss will be crucial at the Rose Bowl, Southampton as like that of the previous Test.

It wouldn’t have been easy for Indian skipper Dhoni to keep Ravichandran Ashwin away from the ground in the previously played two Test matches. It would be interesting to see whether the all-rounder from Chennai plays in the 3rd Test or not. If latest reports from close sources are to be trusted then there is a possibility of dropping Stuart Binny. If this happens then it is nearly sure that viewers are going to witness spin magic of Ashwin.
