SAN DIEGO, C.A. – June 25, 2020 – HomeAid San Diego announced today that it has appointed Jamie Prevost, Chief Executive Officer and President of Prevost Construction, Inc., to the Board of Directors. This appointment is effective immediately and increases the HomeAid San Diego Board of Directors to 19.

HomeAid San Diego is the local chapter of HomeAid America, a national organization that is the largest builder of transitional housing for the homeless in the United States. HomeAid San Diego has been building housing for the homeless in San Diego since 2002, and they play a leadership role in bringing together a broad set of players – homeless agencies, builders and trades, material suppliers, community leaders, and private donors – to help solve the growing issue of homelessness. Their collaborative approach amplifies the impact of their housing projects through the involvement of multiple partners, all of whom contribute to a long-term systemic change of providing housing for the homeless population in San Diego.

“I’m excited for the opportunity to collaborate with like-minded individuals who believe in serving our community. By pooling our talents and resources to make an impact on the lives of those families and individuals who are experiencing homelessness, we have a great opportunity to make a difference in the lives of many people who need our help”, says Jamie Prevost.

Jamie Prevost has been working in commercial construction since 1990 and has served as Prevost Construction’s Chief Executive Officer and President since 2008. In that time, he has grown the business from 13 employees with an annual sales volume of $16.5M to 53 employees with an annual sales volume of $48M, and credits his success to the building of lasting relationships with clients, employees, and community members.

In addition to building a thriving business, Jamie has a long-standing history of community volunteerism with nonprofits such as: Shakti Rising, a social change organization that transforms the lives of women, girls and the community; Teri, Inc., an organization dedicated to serving individuals with autism; and Rebuilding Together San Diego, a group committed to the goal of providing safe and accessible housing for all veterans. Jamie believes in the importance of volunteerism within the community and promotes company volunteer opportunities for his employees as a way of giving back.

“HomeAid San Diego is honored and thrilled to have Jamie Prevost join our Board. As a successful local builder who wants to give back to his community, he has already been helping with projects for the TERI, Inc. organization in partnership with HomeAid San Diego. I know he will continue to expand his company’s philanthropic reach and support of HomeAid San Diego in our future projects, as together we address the critical issue of homelessness in San Diego County”, said Alexis Parker, Executive Director of HomeAid San Diego.
