Markets in Delhi witnessed massive crowd in last couple of days and especially yesterday.

Despite unexpected showers the earlier day, enthusiasm of buyers was sky-high. People gave their best wishes to their family and friends and greeted ‘Eid mubarak’ with absolute warmth and affection. Eid shoppers swarmed shopping malls and nearby market areas to get all the materials that are required to spread broad smile on the faces of their loved ones during the festival. Demand for anarkali suits and kurta payjama were at peak as all Muslims prefer to look traditional on Eid. Beside this, several people sent their warm wishes to their kin by presenting them attractive gifts as a token of their love.  A number of shopkeepers introduced discount offers on their products to grab eyeballs and let people shop without feeling any sort of burden on their pockets.

Crowd thronged at the market near Jama Masjid on the occasion of Eid in the national capital. Children were extremely delighted to hug each other after performing Eid al-Adha prayers. Selling of caps, bangles, perfumes and other useful items were seen.  Since it is an event to relish delicious food, homemakers spent most of their time in preparing sevainya to share it with their guests. Several schools and college institutes in the city and NCR zones were closed on this auspicious occasion and will get open on Wednesday.
